Live Calendar Q & A

Case 1: The sidebar mini calendar isn’t good displayed
After activating the plugin, the sidebar mini calendar may not good displayed. It’s because you have not defined the calendar’s style. I didn’t add this to the calendar.css, for various people have various answers. You can add the following code to your theme’s main css, so once the plugin updated, it still remains.

/*>>>>>>>> CALENDAR < <<<<*/

#wp-calendar  {
	width: 100%;
	margin: 0 10px;
	text-align: center;
	font-size: 13px;
}

#wp-calendar caption  {
	padding: 0 0 7px 0;
	font-weight: bold;
	text-align: right;
}

#wp-calendar a:link, #wp-calendar a:visited  {
	text-decoration: none;
        background-color: #E4E6BF;
	padding: 3px 5px;
}

#wp-calendar #next  {
	text-align: right;
}

#wp-calendar #prev  {
	text-align: left;
}

#wp-calendar #next a:link, #wp-calendar #next a:visited,
#wp-calendar #prev a:link, #wp-calendar #prev a:visited  {
	background: none;
	color: #666;
}

Case 4: The tooltips are messy, not neat like the demo

The width of event title was defined as ‘180px’ before for most characters i typed is Chinese. It’s much less characters than that in English.So, that width don’t support much english words. Now i have changed it to max 300 , maybe it’s not enough for you but enough for me( see the demo of my calendar http://xieziming.com/calendar). If it’s not enough you can change it. The value located in calendar.css

find this following code:

.calnk a:hover span {
    color:#333333;
    display:block;
    position:absolute;
    margin-top:1px;
    padding:6px;
    max-width:300px;
    min-width:200px;
    *width:expression((this.offsetWidth > 300) ? (this.width = 300 +'px') : ((this.offsetWidth < 200) ? (this.width = 200 +'px') :true));
    clear:both;
    z-index:100;
    line-height:1.2em;
}

Then change the “max-width” and the “*width”. Hehehh, don’t change it too big, or should be a little ugly.
